WoW Profession Guide: Blacksmith (Page1)

Another profession I’ve become very familiar with is blacksmithing. My paladin had blackmsmithing
mastered up to 300 prior to the BC expansion and had fully specialized into weaponsmith and then
hammersmith after that. Before I start you down the grind, I’ll need to cover the basics of the
profession. The best profession to take with your blacksmithing will be mining. It is your bread and
butter for smithing. You can reach up to 375 in smithing by getting the Burning Crusade expansion set
and only by going to Outland at level 58. You can find trainers for smithing in all major cities but in
order to specialize into weapon or armor smith you must go to Ironforge for Alliance or Ogrimmar for
Horde with a minimum skill of 200. Further specialization for weapon smiths can be in Everlook at
50+ at skill rank 250.
I will Start off for ranks 1-300 for those people that do not have Burning Crusade Expansion. Then list
The BC Expansion Info (rank 301 to 375) at the bottom of the Guide. Here are the materials you will
need to raise up from 1-300 in smithing.

- 270-320 Bronze
- 100-140 Iron
- 5-10 Silver

- Blacksmithing Miscellaneous
- 20-30 Blue Power Crystals
- 80-120 Yellow Power Crystals
- 20-30 Star Rubies
Now to Cover the exact leveling scheme you will want to follow with the above listed materials:

- 26-65 Rough Grinding Stones
- 65-75 Course Grinding Stones
- 76-100 25 Coarse Grinding Stones
- 101-105 5 Silver Rods
- 106-125 20 Rough Bronze Leggings

The Following is for those people who have Burning Crusade expansion and want to raise up from
300 to 375. First off here is the info for going from 300-360:
- 370 Thorium Bars
- 45 Fel Iron Bars
- 130 Adamantite Bars
- 40 Netherweave Cloths
Once you reach level 360 you have to choose between Aldor or Scryer. Below, I've provided a
material list and a crafting table describing the path for each faction to Blacksmithing 875.
