Spotlight Guild Interviews
|
By GenX Fusion December 2006
Today I had the pleasures of interviewing Lord Stryker, Leader of Stryke – Force. I was very impressed with this SuperGroup. Stryke- Force is a huge group of individuals that plays the MMOG City of Heroes on the Champion Server.
Q. Is there anyone that helped you build up the SG in the beginning? A. Just the basics. A few friends that played everyday. Was Mom and Pop Back then but I had a little more vision then they did back then. Basic 6 were, Mr.Grok, Heal N Touch, Best Heals, CrystalShard, GnomishGunner, and Gimble Lock. Q.What was the biggest problem your guild was facing? How did you deal with it? And what problems are you currently facing? A. Biggest problem.... hmmmmm I would say the biggest problem ever faced was small groups of adolecents that love to hate on us for our success. The best way to deal with it has always been to ignore them. We do what we want when we want and how we want as long as we don’t hurt anyone. Currently we don’t have any real problems.
Q. How many members do you have in your super group A. We usually have between 300 – 500 members at any given time of the year. We have 9 active divisions and 2 divisions store our level 50’s. So a total of 11 divisions in all that are all coalitioned together with the same rights to each base.
Q: What advice do you have for a young guild leader or someone hoping to start up a MMOG guild? A. For young leaders.... ask why you want to do it? For Adults..... do it to help everyone. I have a large organization and my responsibility is to provide an environment where they can learn and have fun.
Q: Any unique events or interesting stories regarding your guild? A.. Event wise.... we were the first SG to do a zone raid. We still do it. Imagine this, messing around in Bloody Bay and getting your butt kicked and all of a sudden... 50 -100 heroes flood the zone by flying, jumping and teleporting around you. We can camp the villain base for hours, they absolutely hate us, but it gives us a chance to teach our members who are afraid or ignorant about PVP to enjoy it.
