Q: Tell us a little history regarding your guild and when was it established? Trebor wanted to create a laid back PVE guild for older and mature younger players who had limited playing time because of real life demands. During that time period members only did very casual PVP in the random and team arenas. The guild’s membership during this time was between 30-50 active members.
By late spring 2006 the guild was having growing pains and Trebor only had a limited amount of playing time. This caused the guild and the alliance to almost die. Trebor gave me (Duke De Laurence) the task to reorganize the guild and he stepped aside as guild leader. The guild/alliance had a really great group but the management and workflow was just not working. It is very hard to keep a small, laid back feel with a guild and an alliance growing so rapidly. I gathered a lot of positive and negative feedback about the guild, website and alliance from the officers, members and allies. I posted my plan about two days later on how to reorganize the guild and website. The plan was approved and Clan of Elders was reformed.
The leader of the guild or Elder of Clan was created. The Elder or guild leader as the software sees it would be controlled by the newly formed Council of Elders (senior officer’s group). The senior officers would share the guild wars software leader specific functions thus giving maximum daily coverage to the guild and to the alliance members. The regular officers would have all the same rights as senior officers except for access to the Elder (software defined guild leader). The leader only functions like disband, capes, officer demotion and alliances would be kept secure by limiting access and usage of the guild leader Elder of Clan.
During the summer of 2006 we expanded the guild by adding a second guild hall called Elite Knights of Steel and Fire [EKSF]. This was needed to handle the numerous membership requests from friends and family of members. At present our membership is very stable and active. Our alliance is full and we have several new guilds wanting to join. I wish the developers would increase the alliance member limit to at least fifteen.
Q: You have an outstanding website. Who built your website and keeps it updated? Thank you. The website was designed by the Guild’s retired Founder, Trebor Nosnhoj and Senior RPG Officer, Duke De Laurence. The sites banner is redesigned about every two months and the current banner design was done by retired Events Officer Vindicare. The calendar, events, libraries and recruitment content are all updated as needed by the guilds officer core. The Team Speak server is maintained by Big Iron. Our site has no ads thanks to Senior Recruitment Officer, Tiberus Ramus.
